Games, and the desire to play them

Covering games; boardgames, roleplaying games, card games and videogames and our relationships with them.

Games and the desire to play them is present in all cultures.

Games; boardgames, roleplaying games, card games and videogames and our relationships with them. Games are transdisciplinary topics, and this playlist includes items on game history, game behaviour, game design and games as educational tools. The universal appeal of games means the list includes entries from both adult and children’s television as well as radio.

A highlight of the playlist is Games Britannia; an exploration of the history of games. It takes the player on a journey from 1st century Britain and the earliest known games to modern MMORPG.
