AHRC Disinformation project examining UK manifesto policies

Clips retrieved from flagship television news programmes by main broadcasters in the UK from within the time period of the 2019 UK General Election campaign, that feature NHS claims made by the two main political parties, Labour and Conservatives.

An AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council)-funded project investigating counter-disinformation practices in public service media.

As part of the project we are building a case study examining NHS manifesto policies by both parties, in relation to the degree/level of fact-checking standards in news reporting.

The playlist includes a selection of clips retrieved from flagship television news programmes by main broadcasters in the United Kingdom: BBC news at Ten, ITV news at Ten, Channel 4 News, 5 News at 5, Sky News at 10. The stories selected fall within the time period of the 2019 UK General Election campaign and feature NHS claims made by the two main political parties, Labour and Conservatives.
